Time flies!

Hey there! The programm is approved during the meeting today, so soon i will post the final version and activities! It is getting all so real now, its not just dreaming of a month full of nice, impressive and informative experiences. It is really about to begin. Today only 59 days are left till we will leave the Netherlands to discover a country that is so much different.

Taking into account the news of the bombings in Jaipur, just two days ago, killing at least 60 people, i will not add the last part of this quote. (if you want, google the lyrics yourself).

Not that these incidents will keep us from going to the region. You can also get killed in the London tube or get hit by a tractor just around the corner here in Wageningen. I'm pretty 'cool' when it is about these things. Things like this happen and there is not much you can do about it. Except for just doing the things you want to do without being too scared of what might happen. Ofcourse some caution is always good, but i don't think things like this should keep you from doing certain things :)

And just in case it does happen to me, at least i made a dream come true; Finally India!

Ok, happy subject now ;) the last preparations are being made, or will be made soon. Tonight we all filled out the forms for our Visa. Tomorrow Cor will bring them to The Hague and if everything goes well, we will have them by monday! Very exciting :D

And then there is the clothes buying. Some of us will pre-order some clothes at Anil's tailor (who was very excited about our wish to have some clothes when we arrive in India). This will be traditional Indian clothing like kurtas and maybe also other things, i don't know that yet.

The reason we want to have some of these is because they are of course very nice to just have, should be comfy in the moisty heat and at some sacred places it is obliged to wear clothes that cover certain bodyparts.

A lot of preparations, expectations and most of all excitement is what on my mind now. Together with all the other things i will do before i will go to India!

And last : some pictures from the common dinner this evening :)
